Dysport is a botulinum toxin in the same family as Botox, with a smaller molecule that activates fast and diffuses slightly wider. The mechanism is the same. The math is different. Some faces respond better to one than the other, and the consultation tells us which.
no prep needed
comparable to Botox
full effect at 14 days
minor bruising possible

Dysport temporarily blocks the nerve signal that tells specific muscles to contract. Same mechanism as Botox. The molecule is smaller, which gives Dysport two distinct properties: it activates fast (most patients see softening within a day or two), and it diffuses slightly more around the injection point.
Wider diffusion is an asset when treating large, broad muscles like the frontalis. It's something we manage carefully when treating smaller, more delicate areas like the orbital region.
The consultation determines which product fits your face. Sometimes that's Botox. Sometimes that's Dysport. The discipline is the same either way.
Your provider reviews your goals, assesses your muscle movement, and walks you through realistic expectations. We discuss whether Dysport, Botox, or Daxxify is the right neuromodulator for your anatomy and goals. No pressure, no upselling.
Small injections placed with a fine needle. Most patients describe it as a quick pinch. No anesthesia needed. The whole appointment runs about fifteen minutes from sitting down to walking out.
You may notice the treatment starting to take effect within twenty-four to forty-eight hours. Minor redness or pinpoint marks at injection sites typically resolve within hours.
Lines fully soften and the result settles into place. We schedule complimentary touch-ups at this point if anything needs adjusting.
Most patients return every three to four months. Over time, muscles soften with regular treatment and some patients extend their intervals naturally.
At RN Esthetics, every treatment starts with listening. We are Nurse Practitioners, RNs and Estheticians who treat every client as the hero of their own story.
Select an area to explore treatments. Every recommendation is backed by a clinical consultation.

Platysmal bands, horizontal lines, and the laxity that often appears before the face changes.
The jaw muscle. Treated for slimming, TMJ relief, and the relief of nighttime grinding.
Projection, contour, and the orange-peel dimpling that comes from an overactive mentalis muscle.
Lines from the corner of the mouth toward the chin. Treated with filler and often paired with mouth-corner support.
Diagonal creases across the bridge of the nose that appear when you scrunch or smile.
Lateral lines that fan out from the corner of the eye with smiling. Among the earliest expression lines to appear.
Midline area between the brows overlying corrugator and procerus muscles. Vertical frown lines deepen here with expression.
Horizontal lines that appear when you raise your brows. Softened with precise neuromodulator placement.
We price Dysport by area, not by unit, matching our Botox protocol. Bundles offer the best value when treating multiple areas. Prices listed are starting points. Final plans are built at consultation.
We follow Allergan-trained dosing protocols built on three decades of FDA data. Every unit is chosen for your anatomy, not a chart.
Before we touch a syringe, we map your expressions and discuss what to soften and what to keep. Dosing follows the conversation.
We use what you need. If half a treatment serves you better than a full one, that's what we recommend.
Neuromodulators work best as a maintenance practice. We plan in months and years, not single appointments.
Not when it's done well. Like all neuromodulators, looking frozen is a dosing and placement issue, not an inherent feature of Dysport. When the muscles you use for expression are mapped before treatment and dosing is matched to your anatomy, the result is softer movement, not no movement. You'll still smile, raise your brows, and look like yourself. Just less etched.
Each location has its own character. All three share the same standard of care.
Both relax the same muscles. The differences are subtle. Dysport spreads slightly more after injection, which can be useful for larger areas like the forehead where you want even coverage. It also has a faster onset for many patients, softening at twenty-four to forty-eight hours rather than three to five days. Your provider may recommend one or the other based on the area being treated and your goals. Both produce natural-looking results when dosed correctly.
Dysport is priced per unit, not per area. The unit count differs from Botox. Roughly three units of Dysport are equivalent to one unit of Botox, so the per-unit price looks lower, but the total dose is higher. The total cost typically lands in a similar range. We don't quote pricing without seeing you first because guessing at units sight unseen leads to under-treating or over-promising. Your consultation includes a clear unit estimate before anything is injected.
Most patients describe it as a quick pinch. Dysport is injected with a very fine needle into specific points, and each injection takes a second or two. We use topical numbing for sensitive areas like the upper lip if requested, but most people don't need it. The whole appointment usually takes about fifteen minutes from sitting down to walking out.
For most patients, Dysport lasts three to four months. The first time you have Dysport, it may wear off faster as your body responds to it for the first time. With consistent treatment every three to four months, many patients find their results last longer over time as the treated muscles weaken with regular use. Some patients metabolize Dysport slightly faster than Botox, others slightly slower. We adjust intervals to what your body actually does.

Had my first blood draw today with it was INCREDIBLE!!! Also the front desk were all so pleasant especially Kelsie! I highly recommend RN Esthetics!!
I was truly blown away after my appointment here. Every single person I interacted with, from the front desk to the providers who handled my treatments, was incredible! They made me feel so welcomed and cared for, and were both informative and genuinely kind. The space itself is spotless, cozy, and easily the most inviting place I’ve ever been for Botox. Michelle did my Botox and she was amazing! I also had a hydrafacial and dermaplaning, and I already can’t wait to come back again and again. You will not regret booking here!
I highly recommend RN Esthetics! The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful without making you feel rushed. The facility is spotless and clean, which made me feel even more comfortable and confident being there. Great experience overall!
