PLLA particles, once injected, are recognized by the body as a foreign material, which triggers a controlled biological response. Fibroblast cells migrate to the area and begin laying down new collagen scaffolding. Over the following weeks and months, that new collagen integrates into the skin and tissue, restoring volume and firmness from within.

Injections placed across the treatment area through a needle or cannula. Sculptra is mixed with saline and lidocaine. The session itself runs forty-five to sixty minutes. Some immediate puffiness from the saline volume that resolves within twenty-four to forty-eight hours.
The 5-5-5 rule: massage the treated area for five minutes, five times a day, for five days. This helps distribute the product evenly and prevents nodules. Your provider demonstrates the technique before you leave. This step is non-negotiable.
Most patients return at four to six week intervals for additional sessions. Two to three sessions total, depending on the area and the result you want. Each session builds on the last.
The collagen response builds gradually. You'll see steady improvement at three months, six months, and beyond. Results continue to refine well past the last session. Most patients hold their result for two years or longer before considering a touch-up series.
