Neck Aging

Neck Aging, Lifted

For years, the neck was overlooked. Now it's where clients ask for the most help. The work is multi-modality and the timeline is longer.

5 to 14 days for neuromodulator. 3 to 6 months for layered work.

The neck reveals what the face has hidden.

What it is

The neck shows aging through several layers. Vertical platysmal bands appear from muscle activity. Horizontal lines etch from posture and skin laxity. Surface texture deteriorates from sun damage. Skin laxity develops as collagen production slows.

Each layer responds to a different treatment. The full neck plan usually combines two or three modalities across multiple visits.

Why Patients Seek Treatment

Clients come in noticing the contrast between their face and neck in photos. They want the neck to read in line with the face they've maintained. Treatment is patient: most clients see significant improvement across three to six months rather than in a single visit.

01

What Causes It

Several forces drive neck aging.

Platysma muscle activity creates visible vertical bands.

Horizontal lines develop from posture, particularly screen-related neck flexion.

Sun damage on the often-exposed neck skin degrades collagen and elastin faster than facial skin.

Skin laxity progresses as collagen production declines with age.

02

Common Signs

Most clients first notice neck aging in photos and selfies. Vertical bands appear from chin to chest with expression. Horizontal lines etch deeper across the front of the neck. The skin develops crepe-paper texture.

Many clients have invested in facial care while overlooking the neck. The contrast becomes visible in photos.

03

Why It Changes Over Time

Neck aging accelerates through the forties and fifties. Sun damage compounds. Platysma bands deepen. Skin laxity progresses.

Postural patterns from screen use have accelerated neck aging for many clients, particularly horizontal lines from repeated downward gaze.

04

How It's Commonly Addressed

The industry approaches neck aging with multiple modalities.

Botox for the platysmal bands in a Nefertiti lift pattern, typically twenty to forty units distributed across the bands.

HA filler placed in horizontal lines.

Skinvive for hydration and skin quality across the neck surface.

Laser or RF for skin tightening and surface texture.

How we approach the neck

Neck work is patient and layered. We start by mapping which combination of issues is most prominent.

Platysmal bands respond well to Botox in the Nefertiti lift pattern. We use twenty to forty units distributed across the visible bands. The result lifts the neck and jawline subtly.

Horizontal lines respond to HA filler placed precisely along the crease. Skinvive across the broader neck improves hydration and surface quality.

For significant skin laxity, we may recommend laser modalities or refer to surgical consult. We're honest about when our tools can deliver the result.

I was truly blown away after my appointment here. Every single person I interacted with, from the front desk to the providers who handled my treatments, was incredible! They made me feel so welcomed and cared for, and were both informative and genuinely kind. The space itself is spotless, cozy, and easily the most inviting place I’ve ever been for Botox. Michelle did my Botox and she was amazing! I also had a hydrafacial and dermaplaning, and I already can’t wait to come back again and again. You will not regret booking here!
