Blake came to Ali months before her wedding. The wedding was the excuse. The real question was bigger.
Initially, the wedding was the excuse to get going. I'm in my early thirties. I was like, okay, I need to do Botox, filler, whatever, to feel really great at some point. The wedding felt like a really good move in that direction. But honestly, now that I've started, it has nothing to do with the wedding. Even if I wasn't getting married in three months, I'd continue with the same process I've been doing.
It's about taking what you see in the mirror every day and tweaking it just a tiny bit. To feel a little more like yourself.
Blake came in anxious. She asked a lot of questions. The first appointment was supposed to be a treatment. It became a consultation.
I felt really heard and understood. We came up with an entire treatment plan, and we didn't even have to do anything that day. It was all about where we were looking to go. Ali was so smart, knew the research, made me feel really comfortable.
The plan was skin first. Healthy, refined, with subtle work closer to the wedding. The goal wasn't to undo. It was to refine.
What Blake wanted from the wedding day was simple. To be in it.
You spend a year plus planning this one day, and I don't want to be sitting there thinking, is my makeup okay? Is my smile alright? I want to be living in the moment, with friends and family, spending the rest of my life with my amazing fiancée.
When Ali pulled up the before-and-afters, Blake couldn't pick out what was different.
I literally look the same. I just look elevated.
