What it is

Hangover recovery IV therapy delivers rapid hydration, B vitamins, anti-nausea medication if needed, and other supportive nutrients to address the physiological aftermath of alcohol consumption.

The biological basis is straightforward. Alcohol causes dehydration through diuretic effect, depletes B vitamins (particularly thiamine), disrupts electrolyte balance, and creates inflammatory metabolites. IV therapy addresses each of these directly.

Why Patients Seek Treatment

Clients come in after weddings, vacations, big events, or social occasions. They have meetings, plans, or simply want to feel functional. IV therapy delivers rapid hydration and addresses the metabolic depletion directly.

01

What Causes It

Hangover physiology involves several mechanisms.

Dehydration from alcohol's diuretic effect.

Electrolyte imbalance particularly sodium and potassium losses.

B vitamin depletion particularly thiamine (B1) and other B vitamins consumed in alcohol metabolism.

Acetaldehyde accumulation from alcohol breakdown, contributing to nausea and headache.

Inflammatory cytokines from immune response to alcohol metabolites.

Disrupted sleep even when extended in hours.

02

Common Signs

Headache, fatigue, nausea, light sensitivity, brain fog, body aches, irritability. Symptoms typically peak when blood alcohol returns to zero and can last 24 hours or more.

03

Why It Changes Over Time

Hangover severity varies by individual, alcohol type, hydration during consumption, food intake, sleep, and other factors. IV therapy reliably addresses the dehydration and B vitamin components.

04

How It's Commonly Addressed

Hangover relief typically involves:

IV hydration with electrolytes for rapid restoration.

B vitamin complex particularly thiamine, to address depletion.

Anti-nausea medication (ondansetron or similar) when needed.

Toradol or other anti-inflammatory for headache, when appropriate.

Vitamin C and glutathione for antioxidant support.

How we approach hangover recovery

Our hangover recovery protocol addresses each physiological driver directly.

One liter of normal saline or lactated ringers provides rapid hydration with appropriate electrolytes. Most clients feel significantly better within thirty minutes of starting infusion.

B-complex including thiamine addresses the vitamin depletion that contributes to fatigue and brain fog.

Anti-nausea medication via IV typically provides relief within ten minutes for clients with significant nausea.

For headache, we may add anti-inflammatory medication when clinically appropriate.

The treatment is supportive, not preventive. Moderate alcohol consumption remains the best approach to avoiding hangovers entirely.

I was truly blown away after my appointment here. Every single person I interacted with, from the front desk to the providers who handled my treatments, was incredible! They made me feel so welcomed and cared for, and were both informative and genuinely kind. The space itself is spotless, cozy, and easily the most inviting place I’ve ever been for Botox. Michelle did my Botox and she was amazing! I also had a hydrafacial and dermaplaning, and I already can’t wait to come back again and again. You will not regret booking here!
