Hair loss is a longer conversation than hair thinning. We're honest about what PRP can do and what it can't. For advanced cases, hair restoration surgery may produce results we can't.

Hair loss describes established loss of hair density beyond early thinning. It includes patterns like male pattern baldness, female pattern hair loss, alopecia areata, and traction alopecia.
Treatment effectiveness depends heavily on stage. Early-stage hair loss responds well to PRP and medical treatment. Established balding patterns with significant follicular damage are less responsive and may benefit from hair restoration surgery.
We work with clients across the spectrum and refer when appropriate.
Clients come in with established hair loss, often after years of watching it progress. They want a real conversation about what's possible. We provide honest assessment and the right plan, even when that plan includes referral to a hair restoration specialist.
Several causes drive hair loss.
Androgenetic alopecia (genetic pattern hair loss) is the most common cause in both men and women. Genetic and hormonal factors drive it.
Telogen effluvium is temporary hair loss triggered by stress, illness, postpartum, or medication. Often reversible.
Alopecia areata is autoimmune hair loss with patchy patterns. Requires dermatology evaluation.
Traction alopecia from tight hairstyles, extensions, or chemical processing.
Scarring alopecias destroy hair follicles permanently and require dermatology management.
Medical causes including thyroid disorders, nutritional deficiencies, and certain medications.
Hair loss patterns vary by cause. Male pattern shows receding hairline and crown thinning. Female pattern shows widening part and crown thinning, often preserving the hairline. Alopecia areata shows discrete patches.
The key marker for treatment effectiveness is whether the follicles are still present. Visible scalp without follicles often means the follicles have miniaturized or died. Treatment can stimulate dormant follicles but can't bring back dead ones.
Hair loss typically progresses without treatment. Early intervention preserves more follicles. Late-stage treatment can stabilize but rarely reverses significant loss.
For some clients, hair restoration surgery (FUE or FUT) becomes the most effective option once a certain stage of loss is reached. The procedure relocates follicles from the back of the scalp (which are not genetically programmed to thin) to balding areas.
Established hair loss requires layered approaches.
PRP and microneedling can stabilize and partially improve hair loss when follicles are still viable.
Oral medications (finasteride, minoxidil, spironolactone) work systemically through coordinating providers.
Hair restoration surgery (FUE, FUT) relocates follicles for transformative results in candidates with adequate donor hair.
Scalp micropigmentation creates the appearance of denser hair through cosmetic tattooing.
Hair systems and hairpieces provide non-surgical aesthetic restoration.
Hair loss work requires honesty about stage.
For clients with early-stage hair loss and visible follicles, our PRP and microneedling protocols can stabilize and partially improve density. Most candidates need three to four initial sessions plus ongoing maintenance.
For clients with more advanced loss, we coordinate. Medical management with finasteride, minoxidil, or spironolactone through their primary care provider. PRP as supportive treatment. Referral to a hair restoration specialist when surgery may produce results we can't.
We're rigorous about expectations. Hair loss treatment is patient, layered work. Most clients see modest improvement over many months rather than dramatic transformation.
At RN Esthetics, every treatment starts with listening. We are nurse practitioners, registered nurses and estheticians who treat every client as the hero of their own story.
No real downtime. You may have mild redness for a short time after extractions, but skin generally looks brighter and more hydrated the same day. Custom facials are easy to do before an event or on a normal day.
The seaside facial is Patty's signature treatment, a slower, deeply relaxing facial built around her massage technique that works the face and the nervous system at once. Patty is the only provider who performs it, so book with her specifically.
We do. The teen and tween facial focuses on active breakouts and, just as much, on education, teaching younger clients how to care for their skin so good habits start early. It is a calm, no-pressure introduction to professional skincare.

Had my first blood draw today with it was INCREDIBLE!!! Also the front desk were all so pleasant especially Kelsie! I highly recommend RN Esthetics!!
I was truly blown away after my appointment here. Every single person I interacted with, from the front desk to the providers who handled my treatments, was incredible! They made me feel so welcomed and cared for, and were both informative and genuinely kind. The space itself is spotless, cozy, and easily the most inviting place I’ve ever been for Botox. Michelle did my Botox and she was amazing! I also had a hydrafacial and dermaplaning, and I already can’t wait to come back again and again. You will not regret booking here!
I highly recommend RN Esthetics! The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful without making you feel rushed. The facility is spotless and clean, which made me feel even more comfortable and confident being there. Great experience overall!
